This course prepares participants to learn technical and conceptual skills of preforming duties of AP, AR and GL, Cash, Asset recording and reporting, month end process and financial reports using accounting software.

Part I: · Principals of Accounting · Accounting Terminology · Assets, Liabilities and Owners Equity · Creating Accounts · Making and Adjusting Entries · Closing Entries · Creating and Reviewing Financial Statements
Part II: · Company/Partnership/Sole trader set up in QuickBooks · Getting around the home page drop-down menus, icon toolbar and navigator windows · Transaction entries (cash sales, cheques, invoices) · Creating a company and accounts · Setting up customers and suppliers (A/R and A/P) · Bank Reconciliations · Chart of accounts, journal entries · Trial balance, Income statements, and balance sheet Working with a non-profit company.
Part III: Excel Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Level Excel has always been the key tool to start and validate data analysis skills. Key concepts include Vlook up, Pivot table, Index, Sumif, and macros. Also included in this course is the Analysis of large data set using an excel toolset.

Topic 1. Basic Excel – 10 hours · Excel Basic Review Quiz(if already have mastery in Basic Excel) · Creating, modifying, and formatting worksheet · Basic Excel Functions · Basic Charts and Templates.

Topic 2. Intermediate Excel – 10 hours · Excel Intermediate Review Quiz(if already have mastery in Intermediate Excel) · Manipulating large files and multiple worksheets · Rules and Conditional formatting · Practical use of excel functions and shortcuts.

Topic 3. Advanced Excel – 20 hours · Vlook up · Pivoting · Indexing · Macros · Data Visualization · Data Analysis – Large data set.
